This will allow students and teachers to stay connected to each other while they go from one location to another on campus. In a recent article posted on the Web site of the Economic and Social Research Council, Johnston outlined the potential social implications of allowing wifi buses on city streets. He cited a study by Oxford University, which indicated that allowing buses with high-speed internet access would increase levels of sociability and social capital between different groups in the local area. The study indicated that allowing buses with wifi access would increase the average income of households in the local area by 20 percent. These results suggest that allowing wifi buses improves the overall quality of life in a community.
